Two students from Oriwu Junior Model College in Ikorodu, Lagos, have emerged victorious in the Lagos State Junior Secondary School Quiz Competition, organized by the Irene Onwuka Peace Foundation. This victory has brought them not only recognition but also remarkable rewards.

Lemboye Abdulramoh (JS2) and Agbede Oyindamola (JSS3) clinched the top spots, earning the star prize of one million naira each and two laptops.

In addition to these prizes, AK Model Homes and Properties honoured their academic excellence by awarding each student a plot of land in the Ibeju-Lekki, Epe axis.

This achievement highlights the culture of hard work, resilience, and dedication fostered under the leadership of Anike Adekanye, Tutor General/Permanent Secretary of Education District 2.

Expressing her pride, Adekanye said, “We are incredibly proud of Lemboye Abdulramoh and Agbede Oyindamola for their exceptional performance in the competition. Their achievement is a true inspiration to all the students in Education District 2.”

She further appreciated the support from the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and his administration for providing such platforms that elevate educational standards.

“This remarkable milestone testifies to the transformative impact of the T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda of Mr. Governor’s administration in using education to transform the lives of young individuals,” she added.

Adekanye also extended her gratitude to AK Model Homes and Properties for their generous contribution, noting that such incentives encourage students to strive for excellence. Under the leadership of Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, the Education District 2 community looks forward to continued growth and development in the educational sector.
