Professor Abdulganiy Isa, hailing from the family of Late Alhaji Isa Oyarekhua in Jattu-Uzairue, Etsako West LGA of Edo state, has been officially recognized as the first Nigerian Professor of Arabic Linguistics.
The prestigious title was conferred upon him by the Faculty of Arabic Language and Humanities at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia.

Sheikh Ibrahim Oyarekhua, Chairman of the Edo state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and a representative of the family, conveyed thanks to Allah for blessing Nigeria with a scholar of Arabic Linguistics.
