Students of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, have expressed dissatisfaction over the N10,000 late school fee payment penalty which is expected to commence today, Wednesday , April 5, 2023.

The management of the institution had on March 22, 2023, announced that any student who fails to register and pay the prescribed school fee on or before the date will attract a penalty fee of N10,000.

However, various students have taken to their social media spaces to express their dissatisfaction with the management directive.

“The country is very hard right now, we haven’t seen the school fee, how are we supposed to raise the penalty fee when we haven’t even paid the initial fee” a student stated.”

Some of the students also wrote into various WhatsApp groups to seek the action of the student union government over the development.

It is worthy of note that the late payment fee affected all students, which includes ND 1, ND2, HND 1 and HND 2 as stated by the school management.
