These items are to be bought by EACH of the Post Graduate students of Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) just to defend their project. That’s apart from paying N80k for Project Defense. When it is not Mechanic or Tailoring Apprenticeship Freedom”

Traditionally, academic pursuits do come with associated costs, but the requirement for students to individually procure these items has raised eyebrows and concerns within the student body. Many students find themselves questioning the unusual expenses, drawing comparisons to vocational training programs such as Mechanic or Tailoring Apprenticeships where specialized tools and materials are typically provided.

The university, known for its academic excellence, has yet to release an official statement regarding the matter. However, students are eagerly awaiting clarification on the rationale behind these additional financial burdens while some says it is unbelievable others also added that lecturers are always looking for any avenue to exploits students.
