Outgoing pupils of Achievax Base Schools in Alakuko, Lagos, have been advised to be good ambassadors of their alma mater.
The school’s proprietor, Omotola Ayodeji, gave this advice during the 16th annual graduation and prize-giving ceremony.
The event, which attracted parents, pupils, and well-wishers, featured various performances by the pupils.
Omotola encouraged the graduating students to represent the school well wherever they may go.
He reflected on the school’s journey, noting that since its humble beginnings in 2008, it had made “unprecedented giant strides.”
He acknowledged the challenges the school had faced but expressed pride in how it had “weathered the storms.”
“We shall continue to create remarkable and progressive history as we move forward,” he said.
Regarding academic performance, Omotola highlighted the secondary school’s remarkable successes in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (JSS 3) and the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.
“It is a joy to say unequivocally that our students pass all their subjects with A’s and B’s in one sitting,” he said.
He was also pleased with the school’s performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, stating that many students had gained admission into various institutions both in Nigeria and abroad.
Omotola attributed these achievements to the collaborative efforts of seasoned and professional teachers who are committed and dedicated without any pretence.
He urged them to continue their good work.
The proprietor also celebrated the school’s accomplishments in extracurricular activities, noting that they excelled in all games, winning with convincing margins.
He praised the pupils and their trainers, crediting their cordial relationship for bringing glory to the school.
He added that “only love and care enhance effective learning, rather than bickering and the use of foul language.”
