President Bola Ahmed Tinubu felicitated the Chancellor of Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Osun State, Prof Anthony Adegbulugbe, on his 70th birthday on Wednesday.
Adegbulugbe is known to have been actively involved in shaping energy policies and plans for Nigeria, and played a crucial role in designing the Energy Master Plan for Nigeria.
A statement by the Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga lauded Adegbulugbe for his exemplary achievements and significant contributions to academia, evangelism, business, and philanthropy.
The president also praised the celebrant for his humility, and dedication to the pursuit of excellence and national development.
Reflecting on their shared experiences, President Tinubu recalled that in October 2019, he shared the podium with Prof. Adegbulugbe when they received honorary doctorates at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti.
The President also acknowledged Adegbulugbe’s outstanding academic journey from his days as a student at the Obafemi Awolowo University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
