The University of Ibadan’s Small and Medium Enterprises Fair 2024 is scheduled to take place on November 8-9 at the International Conference Centre.
A statement by the convener, Prof. Ruth Adio-Moses, on Tuesday, said that the objective of the fair was to create a platform for participants to share ideas, explore technological advancements, and expand their business networks.
She added that the theme of the fair ‘Moving the SME Global Community Forward through Technology, Innovation, and Creativity,’ would attract entrepreneurs, students, and industry leaders from across Nigeria.
She said, “The University of Ibadan SME Fair is expected to be a critical event for the business community, offering numerous grants and business opportunities.
“The fair will feature a keynote address, Guest speeches, panel discussions, and workshops, as well as product exhibitions from producers, faculty members and students. Additionally, there will be inter-university competitions, pitch events, and business matchmaking sessions designed to help emerging innovators and startups gain exposure and secure investment.
“Notable speakers from various sectors will present strategies for SMEs to succeed in an increasingly competitive global market. Attendees will also have access to training sessions focused on creativity and the adoption of new technologies for business growth.”
Adio-Moses disclosed that the event was powered by the office of the DVC Research, Innovation and Strategic Partnership, and sponsored by Providence Bank and CEO Africa serving as the official media partner.
