The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Senate has elected three (3) new deputy vice-chancellors.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Lilian Salami, made the nominations, in accordance with the university’s miscellaneous provisions Act 2003, Section 4.
Dr Benedicta Ehanire, the Public Relations Officer of UNIBEN disclosed this in a statement in Benin on Tuesday 25th February, 2020.
She revealed that Prof. Adesuwa Osahon of the Department of Ophthalmology was the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (designate) Administration.
Prof. David Izekor of the Department of Forestry emerged Deputy Vice-Chancellor (designate) Academics. While Prof. John Ogene from Department of Fine and Applied Arts is now the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (designate) Ekehuan Campus.
“We would forward the names of the deputy vice-chancellors to Governing Council of the University for confirmation,” Ehanire said.
