In continuation of its ongoing efforts to improve the standard of Nigerian education, Union Bank has partnered with Nigeria Breweries as the official financial sponsor of the 10th anniversary edition of the Maltina Teacher of the Year Award.
This year’s event, themed ‘A Decade of Inspiring Excellence in Teaching,’ aims to recognize and celebrate exceptional teachers who have positively impacted student academic growth.
The partnership aligns with Union Bank’s corporate strategy to improve access, quality, and learning outcomes in education through cross-industry collaborations. The bank has also developed the Edu360 initiative, designed to facilitate investments in education by building teachers’ capacity and promoting cooperation between parents and educators.

Since its inception in 2015, the Maltina Teacher of the Year Award has aimed to spotlight outstanding educators in Nigeria. According to Nigerian Breweries, the award serves to recognize those whose dedication and performance significantly enhance student success.
