Independence Day: Osun Organises Essay Contest!

Osun State Government has invited eligible indigenes and residents of the state to participate in an essay contest.

This is in preparation towards the country’s 60th Independence Day celebration on October 1st, 2020

The contest is organised by the Ministry of Regional Integration and Special duties in partnership with the Ministry of Political Affairs and Inter-governmental Relations.

The Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties, Olalekan Badmus, and the Commissioner for Political Affairs and Inter-Governmental Relations, Taiwo Akeju, in a statement said the winners of the essay contest would be rewarded with laptop, tablets, and cash prizes.

“Guidelines for participation in the essay competition with the topic, ‘Moving Ahead Post Coronavirus Pandemic: Impact and Prospects of COVID-19 on the Economy,” stipulates that entries received for the essay competition would be reviewed by a panel of judges made up of academicians from reputable Nigerian universities/corporate sector, who will then shortlist twenty essays for further assessment,” the statement reads.
