Not less than 179 students of Lagos senior secondary schools from Agboju Education District have received the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.
The award presentation was held at the Awori Ajeromi Senior Grammar School in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area.
The awards were presented to the recipients by the International Award for Young People in Nigeria (IAYPN).
The recipients, who were drawn from 19 schools in the district, successfully underwent skill learning, social services engagement, physical/sporting activities and adventurous journeys.

“Through developing transferable skills, increasing their fitness levels, cultivating a sense of adventure and volunteering in their community, the award helps young people to find their purpose, passion and place in the world,” he said.
