The Osun State House of Assembly has exonerated the Bursar of, the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun , Rasheed Olarewaju Oyedeji, from alleged financial misconduct.

The financial misconduct and infractions, which was initially leveled against Oyedeji in March, 2922, it was alleged led to loss of funds from the institution.

According to fresh documents obtained on the matter, the House, after conclusive investigations, ruled that the Bursar, Oyedeji should be exonerated from the allegations of financial misconduct and other infractions.

A letter dated September 6, 2022, signed by S. A. Amusan, Clerk of the Osun State House and copied to the Provost of the College also stated that Oyedeji has been exonerated from the various allegations leveled against him as contained in the report of the periodic check.

“The State of Osun at its executive session has critically examined the report of the House Committee 9n Public Accounts on the matter vis-a-vis other available documents, records and testimonies,” the letter read.

It added, “Having discovered that a series of issues raised against you by the Office of the Auditor General appears bogus and unsubstantiated, the House came to a conclusion that you should be exonerated from the allegations of financial misconduct and other infractions.

“I, therefore, write on the instructions of the Honourable Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye to inform you that you have been exonerated from the various allegations leveled against you as contained in the report of the periodic check.”
