No fewer than 720 students on Wednesday benefitted from Ajagunla Bursary Award facilitated by Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi Ajagunnla who is contesting the Osun Central Senatorial District ticket in the state.

The award which covers students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels is another sterling move by the senator.

Speaking at the event which was held at the Osogbo city hall, Ajagunnla noted that the gesture is to fulfil one of his passionate development programmes for the people he seeks to represent.

“The essence of this bursary is to assist the people to achieve the best legacy, Education. You have to be well-read and properly educated to be whatever you may want to be in life.

“If elected, 200 students each from the 10 local governments of Osun Central Senatorial District will receive bursary awards across the district. This has never happened before to even assist those who are in their Masters and their PhD programmes.

“This programme is inspired by the fact that my father himself was a teacher who also strived to touch and impact lives when he was alive. This is the thread I’m going on.

“I have certificates from Harvard Business School, Harvard School of Government and Harvard Kennedy School. My profile is rich enough to represent Osun Central in the Senate. I am more than equipped to lead our people.”

Speakers at the event including the Secretary to the Osun PDP Caretaker Committee, Hon. Femi Carina, Barrister Kolapo Alimi, Alhaji Muniru Raji, Hon. Babatunde Badmus among others lauded Chief Ajagunla, for the gesture.
