Professor Kamoru Usman, provost of the Federal College of Education (Special) in Oyo, has emphasised the need for governments at all levels to join forces in order to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the field of education.

During a press conference held at the institution’s conference room in Oyo town, Usman stated, “It is evident that the burden of providing education to achieve the SDG 2030 target cannot be shouldered by the Federal Government alone, let alone the necessary resources required for implementing special education teacher training.”

He further stressed the necessity for increased commitment, collaboration, and partnership among all stakeholders, including the federal, state, and local governments, as well as international and multinational organisations, non-governmental organisations, philanthropists, and all individuals who share a belief in our collective humanity under God.

Regarding the college’s 17th convocation ceremony, the provost announced that a total of 13,364 graduates would officially received the Nigeria Certificate in Education in various special education.
