Orire Agbaje, a 400-level economics student of the University of Ibadan who was recently included as a member of the presidential advisory committee for fiscal policy and tax reform in Nigeria has won the 6th edition of the Otunba (Mrs) Debola Osibogun National Essay Competition of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
In a LinkedIn post, she noted that the essay theme is around Agtech and “how we can drive sustainability in the long run as we move forward.”
“It was a beautiful experience at the conference, where I learnt how the industry is bridging the gap of knowledge and pursuing viable solutions,” she said in the post.
“SMEs and MSMEs are the building blocks of the nation, policies should be established to encourage sustainability and growth.
“With this, I gave my contribution that entrepreneurial programs in Tertiary institutions should be targeted so ideas don’t wither off,” she added.
