The Management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) has directed all students having cars and motorbikes, and living within the school halls of residence to register the details of their rides with the university’s security division.

This information was contained in a statement released and signed by Colonel A. Y. Gwandu (Rtd), the Chief Security Officer, or CSO of UDUS on behalf of the management.

The circular reads in part: “This directive is necessary for the school security operatives to have a database that will enhance the smooth regulation of students’ passage at the hostel gate, particularly at night.”

Furthermore, “The university Management also directs all students to always hang their ID cards on their necks using the customized UDUS lanyards, stating any student who fails to comply by the 18th of December, 2023 will be denied entrance to any of the school facilities.”

“Additionally, all students are reminded that the ban on entering UDUS Campuses with tinted vehicles and 10 pm time limit for MOROKO are for strict compliance,” it concluded.
