The University of Ibadan is preparing to resume academic activities after a Senate-approved three-week break that began on 31 August 2024. An internal memorandum from the Office of the Registrar has confirmed that students are expected to return to campus by Friday, 20 September 2024.
According to the memorandum, hostels will reopen for students at 12 noon on the same day, and first-semester examinations for the 2023/2024 academic session are scheduled to commence on Monday, 23 September 2024.
The university’s portal for course registration and fee payment will also close on 20 September 2024, with a strict warning that it will not reopen for late submissions. Students must provide evidence of registration before being admitted into their respective halls of residence.
Failure to complete registration on time will result in students being barred from participating in the upcoming examinations.
This notice, signed by G. O. Saliu, Registrar of the University of Ibadan, serves as a reminder for all students and staff to strictly adhere to the guidelines provided to ensure a smooth transition back to campus life.
