New Hall International School, Lekki, Lagos emerged winners at the 2024 Lagos ODG Football tournament, which ended over the weekend at White Sand, Lekki.
They put on a masterclass in teamwork, skill, and determination to stay unbeaten at the tournament organised by ODG Sports Entertainment Ltd., a sports and entertainment company dedicated to promoting sports as a viable pathway to success and providing Nigerian youths with opportunities to showcase their athletic strengths.
The team, led by coach Henry Iwuanyanwu, secured impressive results, including a 4-0 drubbing of Atlantic Hall, a 3-0 win over Kings College, and an 8-2 annihilation of Attwool School.
They also secured a 5-3 victory over Dowen College and drew 1-1 with hosts White Sand School.
Kamal Elegushi was a standout performer at the tournament, bagging multiple awards, including Best Player, Highest Scorer with Pere Nicholas, and Best Goal Assist.
Coach Iwuanyanwu, who was named Coach of the Tournament, praised his team’s effort and dedication.
“Our boys showed exceptional character and skill throughout the tournament,” he said.
“This victory is a testament to their hard work and the dedication of our entire coaching staff.”
Chisomaga Ogbonna received the Most Disciplined Player award, while White Sand’s goalkeeper emerged as the best goalkeeper.
