The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, has postponed the matriculation ceremony for the students admitted for the 2022/2023 academic session.
In a circular signed by the institution’s Registrar, Olugbenga Arajulu, the postponement was to allow all the fresh students to complete their registration and assign them matriculation numbers.
According to the statement, any student who has not completed his/her registration and assigned matriculation number will not be regarded as a student of the University.
As of press time, the new date for the matriculation ceremony is yet to be announced.
The circular read: “I am directed to inform all Fresh students that the Matriculation ceremony earlier scheduled to hold this week has been postponed. The reason for the postponement is to allow all Fresh students to complete their registration and assign them Matriculation numbers.
“I am to emphasize that any student who has not completed his/her registration and assigned Matriculation number cannot be regarded as a student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko.
“Therefore, all Fresh students who have not completed their registration should use this opportunity to do so. A new date for the Matriculation ceremony will be communicated later. Thank you.”
Edugist gathered that the matriculation was earlier scheduled to hold between the 7th to 13th of March.
