Nonye Soludo, the wife of the Anambra State Governor, has awarded a comprehensive scholarship to Chukwuemeka Nwuzor, an exceptionally talented eight-year-old mathematics genius.
The scholarship will cover his education from primary school all the way through to a master’s degree.
The announcement was made on Wednesday at the Governor’s Lodge in Awka, where Soludo met with Chukwuemeka and his family.
The young prodigy had recently gained attention after a video of him solving complex mathematical problems, including advanced formulas and numerical equations, went viral on social media.
Soludo revealed that upon learning that Chukwuemeka hailed from Nibo community in the Awka South Local Government Area, she swiftly initiated a search to locate him and his family.
“To verify his extraordinary talent, I tested him with a variety of mathematical questions, formulas, and equations, all of which he answered correctly without hesitation,” she shared.
Impressed by his remarkable abilities, Soludo decided to sponsor Chukwuemeka’s education through every academic level he chooses.
She emphasized her commitment to providing him with the best educational opportunities and building a supportive mentorship network to help him realize his full potential.
“Chukwuemeka’s breed is rare among mankind, and I promise to give him all the support that he needs to grow,” she stated passionately.
In a message to Chukwuemeka’s parents, Soludo advised against rushing his academic progression despite his advanced skills.
She recommended allowing him to advance through each grade level at a standard pace to ensure steady and thorough development of his talents.
