Applications are now open for the 2024 Memorial Need-Based Undergraduate Scholarship.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the Memorial Need-Based Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a first or second-year student at any tertiary institution
2. Be enrolled in any field of humanities and social sciences
3. Attach a copy of your admission letter
4. Write a response to three essay questions:
a) What are your academic and career goals and how have your friends and family influenced and inspired them? (500 words maximum)
b) What does “leaving a good legacy behind” mean to you? (500 words maximum)
c) Describe a problem you have solved or a problem you would like to solve. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution (500 words maximum).
Important details
1. There is no minimum CGPA requirement to apply for the Memorial Need-Based Scholarships.
2. Students who may have struggled academically are especially encouraged to apply.
3. The ₦100,000 fund will be paid directly to the recipient’s institution and can be used to cover their tuition fee.
Application procedure and deadline
Applications can be completed through the online portal. Application deadline is February 5, 2024.
