HumAngle, a media platform committed to objective coverage of Africa’s conflict, humanitarian, and development issues, is open to receiving applications from student journalists for their anniversary contest.
HumAngle is inviting a student journalist (registered with a campus organisation) to an all-expense paid trip to Abuja for a week-long speed mentorship programme.
To be considered for this opportunity, all you need to do is write a 500-word article or record a two-minute video that speaks on: Nigeria’s security and humanitarian challenges and the role of journalism in tackling them.
The winner will get to have an immersive HumAngle newsroom experience and stands a chance of interning at the organisation during their post-graduation service year.
During the newsroom tour, the student journalist will attend editorial meeting, weekly training exercises, and other events. They will be a part of any multimedia productions during the week.
The winner will receive branded souvenirs and a daily per diem of ₦25,000. They will also be celebrated at the anniversary dinner.
