The Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCO), in collaboration with its partners, has announced the opening of applications for the 2024 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme.
This initiative is part of SNEPCO’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and enhancing the skills of young Nigerians through substantial financial support.
Benefits:
The NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme provides an annual grant to successful applicants from their second year until the completion of their undergraduate studies. This grant aims to alleviate financial burdens, allowing students to focus on their academic pursuits and achieve excellence. The scholarship not only covers tuition fees but also contributes to other educational expenses, significantly enhancing the recipients’ academic journey.
Eligibility:
To qualify for this prestigious scholarship, applicants must be Nigerian citizens currently enrolled in their second year of full-time study at a Nigerian University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Additionally, candidates must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale or its equivalent. It is important to note that students who are beneficiaries of any other scholarships from entities in the Oil and Gas industry, both national and international, are not eligible to apply. SNEPCO strongly encourages female candidates to take advantage of this opportunity.
Selection process:
The selection process is rigorous and designed to ensure fairness and transparency. Applications must be submitted through the official scholarship portal by the deadline. Only those who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to participate in a monitored computer-based test. The top 10 candidates from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory will be shortlisted for academic verification before the scholarship is awarded. Any falsification of results will lead to disqualification.
Application deadline: June 28, 2024.
