The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has announced the commencement of its 2024-2025 scholarship scheme for postgraduate students.
This initiative is a key element of PAP’s strategy to reintegrate ex-agitators from the Niger Delta by providing them with opportunities to pursue higher education in selected Nigerian institutions.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be indigenes of the Niger Delta States, which include Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross-river, Delta, Edo, Ondo, Imo, and Rivers. Applicants are required to submit their 2024 JAMB results, though they can begin the application process before these results are released. Eligibility is restricted to new entrants at the Master’s degree level, ensuring that only fresh postgraduate students benefit from the program.
Application process:
For those applying for a Master’s degree, additional documentation is required beyond the standard undergraduate application materials. These include a statement of result or degree certificate, a transcript of their first degree, and an NYSC certificate. This ensures that all applicants meet the academic prerequisites for advanced studies. Interested candidates can apply online through the official PAP application portal.
Application deadline: July 19, 2024.
