The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand is pleased to announce the availability of generous academic scholarships for students applying to its Master’s and Doctoral degree programs. As Asia’s leading international higher learning institution, AIT offers these scholarships to increase the number of skilled scientists, engineers, and managers who can meet the future challenges of the emerging Asian Economic Community and beyond.
Benefits:
The AIT Scholarships are open to applicants of all nationalities and are available for postgraduate programs offered at AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET), School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), and School of Management (SOM). These scholarships provide an excellent opportunity for qualified students to study in a diverse and vibrant academic environment while receiving financial assistance to cover full or partial tuition costs. However, students are responsible for the remaining tuition fees, a registration fee of 20,000 Baht per semester, and living expenses estimated at 11,500 to 15,000 Baht per month.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the AIT Scholarships, applicants must meet specific criteria. These include meeting AIT’s English Proficiency Requirement, with a score of 5.0 or above on the IELTS-Academic or AIT English Entrance Test (EET) for Master’s programs, and 5.5 or above for Doctoral programs. Additionally, applicants for the Master’s programs must hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, while Doctoral applicants must possess a Master’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 in their Master’s program and a minimum GPA of 2.75 in their undergraduate program from top universities.
Application process:
The application process is straightforward. Interested candidates should visit the AIT application portal to create an account or log in, complete the online application form, and upload the required documents, including academic transcripts, proof of English proficiency, and a resume or curriculum vitae. Each school within AIT has its Selection Committee, which will review the applications and propose the scholarship amount for each eligible candidate. Once approved by the School Dean, the scholarship grant is finalized and cannot be altered during the student’s study period.
Application deadline: Ongoing.
