Kemi Ogunsanya

Kemi Ogunsanya is an award-winning Educator with over 9 years of teaching experience. Her experience spans across public and private schools at primary and secondary levels where she has taught subjects like Reading, Spelling, English Grammar, Creative Writing, Literature-in-English, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

In her current role, she serves primarily as a Literacy Educator and a Pastoral Coordinator involved with mentoring and counseling, as well as ensuring the social and emotional development of students.

Her innovative teaching methods and dedication have led her towards making significant impact in the field of education; facilitating numerous training sessions for educational institutions within and outside Nigeria while also consistently maximising her social media platforms to showcase exceptional teaching strategies.

Her educational background is in English Education for her first degree and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration.

She has been a recipient of awards and recognitions such as The Classroom Design Excellence Award presented by CME Foundation, Nigeria, for having the Most Outstanding Classroom Design of The Year (October 2021) She was also a Finalist of the Active Citizen in Education Award by Noble Missions Group(January 2020), as well as being a Brand Ambassador for Twinkl  Educational Company, due to her advocacy and exemplary use of classroom technological tools (November, 2021). Most recently, she was a runner up at the 2023 Inspirational Educator Awards organized by Meadow Hall Foundation.

She is a columnist and an editor with articles published in leading newspapers and magazines, as well as an instructional designer who has created learning resources for children and educators. Two examples of such are The Family Bonding Pack which is an educational resource to build critical thinking and social skills in young children and  a course on 21st Century Skills for Educators.

She is the convener of The Pristine Project, an initiative aimed towards the advocacy of menstrual health for females as well as equipping girls in rural areas with entrepreneurial skills.

Kemi is also the co-host of The Teachers’ Rendezvous, a weekly radio show aimed at propagating best teaching practices for educators.
