The Commendable Christian Church has awarded scholarships to five deserving students at the University of Abuja (UofA).
The scholarships, amounting to a total of five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000), were presented to the students at a prestigious event held on Saturday, 13th July 2024 in Abuja.
Each of the students received a hundred thousand Naira as part of the scholarship award. The acting Vice-Chancellor of UofA, Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi, expressed her appreciation for the initiative. Representing the Vice-Chancellor at the event, Ogunlade-Anibasa Grace, the director of the Centre for SIWES, Student Employment, and Mentoring, commended the students for their academic achievements and urged them to continue striving for excellence.
In addition to the scholarships, ten other students were recognized for their outstanding performance and awarded cash prizes ranging from twenty to fifty thousand Naira each. Furthermore, the student who excelled in the digital training organized by the church was presented with a brand new laptop, while the second-best student received a new smartphone as a token of appreciation.
This scholarship programme by the Commendable Christian Church not only supports the education of deserving students but also encourages them to excel in their academic pursuits.
