The University teacher who spoke at the 2017 annual colloquium of Babcock University High School, Illishan, Ogun State, tagged: ‘Educating for eternity,’ said:
the knowledge of God at an early age would go a long way in turning the country around for the better.
He said: “Adventist philosophy of education is what guides our practice in our schools all over the world. This philosophy means that education needs to lead people to the knowledge of God. That is why teachers are our target audience; they are in the best position to communicate the knowledge of God to the children. Parents on their part should understand that education continues after school. However, no knowledge can thrive without the supernatural, the knowledge of God is very important and if taken seriously in our education system, it will address some of the challenges confronting the sector.
The principal, Dr. Bolanle Adebawojo said the salvation of souls is ultimate in the pursuit of success in life.
“We believe that heaven is real and it will be very disastrous if at the end, our students do not make it to heaven. We believe in leading by example, that is why the teachers are our focus. It is also important to catch these children young. There is nothing they can become without the knowledge of God.
