In a bid to foster academic growth and collaboration, a five-member delegation from Emmanuel Alayande University of Education (EAUE), Oyo State, visited Lagos State University (LASU) on Monday, January 20, 2025.
The delegation, led by Dr. Grace Akanbi, Director of the General Studies Programme at EAUE, aimed to discuss collaboration on the General Nigerian Studies (GNS) programme.
The delegation was warmly received by LASU’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, at her office located on the 6th floor of the Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building on the university’s main campus in Ojo.
Facilitating the visit was Prof. M.O.B. Mohammed, Director of the Lagos State University Centre for General Nigerian Studies (CGNS), who played a key role in arranging the meeting.
During the visit, Dr. Akanbi shared EAUE’s interest in leveraging LASU’s strengths in ICT to enhance its ability to offer online GNS classes and examinations. She also expressed a strong desire for deeper collaboration between the two universities, extending beyond the GNS programme.
Responding to the delegation, Prof. Olatunji-Bello extended a warm welcome, emphasizing LASU’s eagerness to collaborate and support EAUE in achieving its academic goals.
She assured them of LASU’s full support and handed the delegation over to the Directors of CGNS and ICT for further training and collaboration.
