Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has announced that the Edo State Government will provide support to Aminat Yusuf, the best law student from Lagos State University (LASU), who achieved a remarkable Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0.
In order to recognise her outstanding academic performance, the governor has approved various benefits for her.
Speaking on behalf of the governor, the Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, stated that the government will offer Aminat Yusuf a salaried position and sponsor her Law School programme.
Furthermore, the governor has directed that she be granted a scholarship to cover her expenses throughout her one-year tenure at the Nigerian Law School.
To demonstrate their appreciation for her exceptional achievement, the government will provide Aminat Yusuf with a monthly allowance equivalent to the salary of a State Counsel, amounting to nearly N200,000 naira, for the duration of her law school programme.
The governor expressed immense pride in Aminat Yusuf’s accomplishment and expressed the hope that she would join the Edo State Government upon completing her law school program. The government plans to write to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to ensure that she fulfills her one-year mandatory youth service in the state.
