In a bid to further engage primary school pupils across the state during this lockdown period, the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has launched a website for home-schooling resources.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Basic Education and Chairman, Edo SUBEB, Dr. Joan Osa Oviawe, disclosed this on Wednesday 8th April, 2020.
She stated that the resources can be accessed on the website created by the state government for that purpose /.
“While staying at home to ensure safety against the deadly Coronavirus, you can guide your children to do their home-work, using the resources on our site”, Oviawe said.
She explained that the online resources was aimed at assisting pupils during the lockdown.
“Parents should augment playtime with these e-lessons,” she added.
Dr. Oviawe said the board had set up a helpdesk accessible to parents between 8am-8pm from Monday-Friday to discuss questions and concerns with education managers and teachers.
“Mobile tutors are also available for parents/guardians who need the assistance. Please call the Edo SUBEB hotline 08091849777 to request assistance,” she concluded.
