The Ekiti State Government has officially confirmed the shocking abduction of six students, three teachers, and a bus driver in the Emure-Ekiti region of the state on Monday in the state.
The dire incident occurred on Monday night when gunmen targeted a private school’s pupils and educators returning from Eporo-Ekiti.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the state government not only acknowledged the gravity of the situation but also expressed an unwavering commitment to the safe rescue of the victims.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji, at the helm of the state’s leadership, reassured the citizens not to succumb to despair. He conveyed, “Efforts are underway to secure the prompt rescue of the abducted children and their teachers.”
The perpetrators struck during the dark hours of Monday night, seizing six pupils, three teachers, and their bus driver.
