Ekiti State Government has promoted over 4,000 teachers in the state’s public primary schools.

The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Francisca Aladejana, disclosed this in a statement in Ado-Ekiti on Monday 24th February, 2020.

In addition, she stated that the promotion covered outstanding promotions of primary school teachers in the state up to 2019.

She added that the exercise was a follow up to the approval of Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Prof Aladejana said Governor Fayemi ordered the clearing of all outstanding promotion exercises.

Prof. Aladejana therefore reiterated the commitment of the present administration to the welfare of all workers.

She, however, said that the exercise was on merit. She also said the teachers sat for examinations to determine the level of competence of the affected teachers.
