The Muhammad Sanusi II Sustainable Development Goals Initiative recently unveiled an exciting opportunity for teachers in sub-Saharan Africa. They announced the launch of the 2023 MSII SDG Challenge, along with a generous $10,000 grant available for innovative educational projects.
Teachers from all corners of sub-Saharan Africa were invited to apply for this remarkable opportunity, which promised exclusive access to mentoring, training, and valuable networking prospects.
The primary objective of the programme, as stated by the organization, was to empower teachers to develop scalable education projects and contribute to the advancement of innovative community initiatives centered around quality education and gender equality.
In a compelling statement released on Thursday, the organisation emphasised the pivotal role of education as a catalyst for innovation and expressed their desire to support teachers dedicated to improving the African education system.
Teachers fortunate enough to be selected for the MSII SDG Challenge would receive an initial grant of $2,000 to kickstart their projects. Additionally, they would undergo an extensive incubation programme designed to refine their ideas and enhance their project management skills.
The most promising participants would also be considered for a follow-up grant of up to $10,000, as well as an accelerator opportunity to further accelerate the implementation of their initiatives.
Furthermore, all accepted teachers would gain access to the 1 million teachers platform, a remarkable resource hub filled with high-quality teaching materials, aimed at bolstering the success of their projects and improving overall teaching outcomes.
If interested in participating in the MSII SDG Challenge, prospective applicants were encouraged to visit www.msiisdg.org and submit their applications before the deadline on May 20, 2023.
