A graduate student of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Oluwatosin Fadiran has won seven hundred thousand Naira at the accessepreneur contest.
Fadiran, who graduated from the Mass Communication Department of the institution won the contest at National Youths Service Corps Orientation Camp (NYSC) in Kwara State.
Oluwatosin who graduated with Distinction from the Polytechnic emerged as 1st runner-up in a tight competition with graduates from other institutions.
‘Accesspreneur’ is a Business Plan Competition sponsored by Access Bank, under SAED Program where youths corps members in orientation camps are allowed to present proposals for defense after which the winner and runner-ups will be rewarded with a start-up grant.
While narrating his experience, he said thirty (30) contestants were selected across the ten (10) platoons at the orientation camp to submit Business proposals.
He added that ten (10) out of the thirty (30) were shortlisted and out of ten (10) that were shortlisted, the best five (5) were subsequently selected to defend their business proposals.
According to him, “We submitted the proposal on 6th May 2023. The shortlisting was done on the 10th May 2023 for the final ten (10) while the grand finale was held today 11th of May 2023 and I came second with a seven hundred thousand naira grant”

I thank the management of Access Bank for helping me project my long-term aspiration, I thank NYSC Kwara State, I appreciate the Fadiran Family, the Federal Polytechnic Offa (My Alma Mata), and every individual, groups, and persons who in one way or the other contributed towards this success. I however dedicate this award to every willing and potential entrepreneur out there who is doing everything in their capacity to be self-reliant and dependent,” he added.
