A charity organization committed to uplifting the standards of women and children in Akwa Ibom State, EmeBest Foundation, has awarded a fully funded scholarship to 25 students, valued at N30 million, to cover the tuition fees of the beneficiaries throughout their university edueducation.
It also donated bags of rice, beans, wrappers and other items to over 2,000 women and provided back-to-school packs complete with essential supplies such as books, math sets, and toys to over 1,000 children.
Speaking while presenting the items to the beneficiaries at
Eka Eruk Eshiet community, in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday, the founder,
Eme Udoidiong, appreciated God for the opportunity to bring joy and hope to the beneficiaries, especially during these challenging times.
She disclosed that the foundation has committed a lot of resources towards the empowerment of children and women because it believes that investment in the education of children is the greatest investment it can make.
She said, “The greatest investment we can make is in the education and well-being of our children and women.
“A total of 25 undergraduates are being awarded a fully-funded scholarship, valued at N30 million, covering their tuition fees throughout their university education.
‘”Additionally, 1,000 children received back-to-school packs, complete with essential supplies such as books, math sets, and toys.
“To alleviate the financial burden on families during the festive period, 2,000 women received wrappers and foodstuffs, including bags of rice, garri, beans, tomatoes, oil, beverages, and cartons of noodles.”
Udoetuk added, “We are committed to continuing our philanthropic efforts, spreading love, joy, and hope to those who need it most.”
Expressing her passion for touching lives in rural areas, Udoidiong noted that the foundation’s selfless efforts have undoubtedly brought succour and smiles to the faces of countless women and children in Akwa Ibom State, assuring that the foundation would do more for women and children beyond Akwa Ibom in 2025.
Beneficiaries lauded the founder, Udoidiong for her philanthropic gesture and prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon her foundation.
