He made an appeal to the Federal Government to restore the College of Management Sciences for admission and approve all its programmes.

Edugist gathered that Salako also appealed to the Federal Government to support the university with more funds in order to produce more first class graduates.

Taking the reading for the program of events for the convocation, he informed that the university would confer an honorary doctoral degree of Science on the President of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina.

He however noted that the Senate and Governing Council of the institution had thought it appropriate for the university to appoint two professors emeriti for the first time during the convocation.
