The Federal University of Oye Ekiti has recorded a breakthrough in science and technology with the manufacturing of an electric vehicle, a bicycle and mechatronic doors.
According to reports from ADULAWO News, the electric vehicle underwent testing on Monday under the supervision of the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, drawing admiration and applause from both students and faculty members.
Additionally, the mechatronic doors were successfully test-run, showcasing their functionality.
The electric vehicle, a collaborative effort between faculty lecturers and students from the university’s engineering department, boasts features such as high speed, durability, and environmental friendliness, with minimal noise and emissions.
In a statement to the press following the test run, Vice Chancellor Fasina commended the students and faculty for their remarkable achievement, emphasizing its potential to elevate the university’s reputation globally. He pledged the university’s support to further enhance production processes for economic gains.
