The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMinna), has postponed the start of its 2024/2025 academic session, now setting the resumption date for Monday, January 20, 2025.

This delay, according to university officials, aims to create a more conducive atmosphere for academic excellence, encompassing teaching, research, and learning.

The decision was approved during the University Senate’s 498th Special Meeting, held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, as outlined in an official letter from Acting Registrar Mrs. A. S. A. Ndayako.

The statement clarified that the adjustment was influenced by “prevailing circumstances,” though specifics were not detailed.

While the university acknowledges the potential challenges this shift may bring, the Senate expressed its regret over any inconveniences, extending gratitude for the continued understanding and cooperation of students, staff, and other stakeholders.
