The Committee of Heads of State-Owned Institutions in Kwara State extended their heartfelt congratulations to Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh on his recent appointment as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete. This commendation was conveyed during a courtesy visit to Professor Jimoh’s office on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
Led by Professor Aremu Mukaila Ayanda, the Chairman of the Committee and Provost of College of Education, Oro, the heads of various state-owned institutions expressed their delight for Professor Jimoh’s well-deserved promotion to the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Professor Ayanda lauded the new Vice Chancellor as a seasoned administrator and renowned scholar, emphasizing the Committee’s celebration of his accomplishments.
Professor Ayanda also offered prayers for a successful tenure for Professor Jimoh, highlighting the Committee’s commitment to fostering robust collaboration among state-owned institutions. This collaborative effort aims to elevate the quality of tertiary education in Kwara State to new heights.
Expressing gratitude, Professor Jimoh acknowledged the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazq, for entrusting him with the responsibility of serving the state as Vice Chancellor. Additionally, he expressed his appreciation to the Committee, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers within and outside the university for their unwavering support before and after his appointment.
The courtesy visit witnessed the presence of other esteemed heads of institutions, including Dr. Barakat Ibrahim, the Provost of College of Education (Technical) Lafiagi; Dr. Aliyu A., the Provost of Kwara State College of Health, Offa; Dr. Sa’adu Hadi, the Provost of College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS); and Dr. Ayinde Shehu Jawondo, the Acting Provost of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin.
