Hilda’s quest to set new world record for longest cooking inspires student

Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, CEO of My Food by Hilda has hit significant milestones in her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for longest cooking by an individual. The 27-year-old is going on over 70 hours and counting, with less than 32 hours left for her to break the Guinness World Record. The sterling Entrepreneur and Food connoisseur on Thursday set up a four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State. So far, Hilda has cooked over 110 meals and served over 2,795 people.

Hilda’s story of standing for 70 hours to achieve her goal has inspired many, including Nigerian student and educator Gabriel James Williams.He believes that Hilda’s determination to work through the hard times should serve as a lesson for Nigerian students pursuing academic excellence.

In a Facebook post, Williams highlighted the importance of hard work in achieving success, and how Hilda’s story embodies the essence of an inspiring message that transcends her. He urged Nigerian students to take up meaningful adventures in pursuit of academic excellence, and to view the inevitable challenges they face as opportunities to work right through it.

Williams emphasised that settling for mediocrity is easy and nihilistic, and that there is no adventure in it. He encouraged students to make schooling an adventure and to strive towards excellence, just as Hilda did in her pursuit of her goal.

Hilda’s story has become a source of inspiration and motivation for many, and her determination and resilience have garnered praise and admiration from people around the world. The sterling Entrepreneur and Food connoisseur on Thursday set up a four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State.

So far, Hilda has cooked over 110 meals and served over 2,795 people. Despite her obvious exhaustion from being on her feet for three days and counting, Hilda Baci’s commitment to excellence is evident as she is not compromising on the meal standard and has maintained excellence which her brand is synonymous with.

Baci’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record has been nothing but awe-inspiring to Nigerians and women around the world as this attempt has had an influx of Nigerians at the venue of the cook-a-thon to see her break this record and thousands more, following live events closely via social media.

The current record for the world’s longest cooking marathon is held by Lata Tondon who completed the task in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs in Rewa, India in 2019.

Notable celebrities including the Governor of Lagos and Ogun State have also actively supported Baci’s attempt by being present and sending messages of motivaion via social media while others at the venue of the cook-a-thon and showering Baci with words of encouragement and affirmation.
