The governor of Kano state,Abba Kabir Yusuf, has given his approval for the immediate settlement of the NECO fees for 55,000 students attending public schools.
During a press briefing at the government house, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf highlighted some of the accomplishments achieved by his administration in the past twenty days.
According to him, the financial support will enable the students to participate in the 2023 SSCE exams.
He encouraged the students benefiting from this initiative to work diligently to achieve better results, emphasising the need for them to reciprocate this gesture.
The governor expressed his belief that they should strive to justify the significant investment made by the state government by continuing their educational pursuits without any hindrance.
Governor Yusuf stated, “As a responsible government, we are committed to ensuring that your educational journey remains uninterrupted. Consequently, I have promptly authorised the payment of examination fees for 55,000 students across the state.”
He urged the students to give their utmost effort and remain dedicated so that they can achieve favorable results in the exams.
“This accomplishment would bring happiness and pride not only to their families but also to the state as a whole,” he said.
Yusuf reassured the people of Kano that his administration is actively formulating policies and programs aimed at enhancing the education sector.
Recognising education as the foundation for societal development, he emphasized the government’s dedication to its improvement.
