The Katsina State Government have announced the payment of about N400m for students preparing to write next year’s May/June school certificate examination across the state.

Disclosing this on Sunday 27th October, 2019, the secretary to the state government, Dr Mustapha Inuwa, said the current administration had considered education, especially foundation education its top priority, since its inception in 2015, and had invested heavily in that sector.

Performance of our students in public examinations is not only getting better, but with quality results.

He maintained that the introduction of pre-qualification examination for candidates wishing to benefit from the state’s scholarship and sitting for the public examination was to ensure that only those qualified are enlisted.

While frowning at the misinterpretation of the introduction of the pre-qualification examination by parents, the SGS, however, noted the remarkable improvement in the performance of the students in public examinations and assured that government would continue to provide an enabling environment for education to thrive in the state.
