Lagos ex-commissioner bags 8th master’s degree, emerges UNILAG best graduating student

Former Lagos State commissioner for Home Affairs, AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef, has secured his eighth masters degree, achieving an outstanding 4.70-grade point average and clinching the coveted title of the best graduating student at the University of Lagos.

AbdulLateef, a distinguished scholar, initially earned his bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, before embarking on a relentless pursuit of knowledge.

His educational journey led him to acquire a Masters of Law at the same university and continued with seven more masters degrees at various prestigious institutions worldwide.

Among his accomplishments, AbdulLateef earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Business School Netherlands, Nigeria, and further expanded his expertise with a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) and a Masters in Management at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.

His academic conquests also include a Masters in Strategic Planning from Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Business School in the United Kingdom and a masters from Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom.

Adding another feather to his cap, AbdulLateef recently attained his eighth masters degree at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, specializing in the Executive Master of None-Interest (Islamic) Finance (EMNIF). Graduating with distinction, he achieved an exceptional grade of 4.70 out of a possible 5.00 cumulative grade point average.

Not only did AbdulLateef distinguish himself with academic excellence, but he also emerged as the top-performing student in the 2023 class of the EMNIF masters program. As one of the 377 masters students graduating with distinctions, he is set to receive his well-deserved certificates.

In addition to his educational accomplishments, AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef holds a doctorate degree in Law from the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.
