Lagos has highest number of registered candidates for 2023 UTME

Lagos state has the highest number of registered candidates that will sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) the examination body has announced. 

Lagos has the highest number of registered candidates followed by Oyo State. Both had 270,573 and 94,911 registered candidates respectively while Zamfara and Yobe states have the least number of registered candidates with 4,988 and 10,522 respectively. The Joint Admission Matriculations Board (JAMB) stated this in an announcement. 

Over  1.60 million  candidates were registered during the registration exercise that closed February 22 after the initial extension. Out of the total number of candidates that have been registered, about 167, 810 of them will be participating in the 2023 JAMB UTME mock exam.
