The Chairman of Orile Agege LCDA, Sunday Johnson Babatunde, has distributed 30,000 notebooks and other writing materials to all public primary schools pupils within the LCDA.
According to Age TV, Babatunde flagged off the distribution of the exercise books and other writing materials to the school pupils on Tuesday September 12, 2023.
While addressing the gathering at the inauguration, the council boss said the initiative is aimed at bringing relief to parents.
”We shall continue to bring educational development to our Council Area. Orile Agege LCDA shall continue to build, rebuild and restore the Local Council Development Area until it gets to enviable height.
”Our administration is leaving a legacy that whoever is coming after us can have a good standing to build more for the council area. The upcoming administration just needs to maintain the structures we have erected in all our public primary schools,” he said.
On the same vein, education secretary, local government education authority, Agege, Catherine Ogunyomi thanked the chairman for investing in the education.
She lauded his achievement for constructing several buildings in all public primary schools in Orile Agege.
Meanwhile, the headteacher of Shiloh Primary School, Osanyintola Moboluwaji, Agbeke also thanked the chairman for taking the burden of the parents away by providing writing materials for the kids.
The distribution took place at St. Peters school complex, Okusanya School complex.
Present during the distribution were Pedro Kafilat Akanni, Wale Fayemi, Akinola Toyin, Akinola Azeez, Bola Britto, Adewunmi Feyisara, amongst others
