Landmark College, Ikorodu has formally inaugurated its prefects for the 2024/2025 academic session during a ceremony held today in the college hall. The event was coordinated by the chairman of the college electoral body, Felix Dada.
Addressing the newly elected prefects, the college principal, Sanni J.A., emphasised the importance of exemplary conduct and leadership.
“As you assume your office, I urge you to reject immorality and embrace good conduct,” he stated. “Strive to avoid any behaviour that will tarnish your positive image. Be kind to everyone, including your peers. Do not misuse your authority to bully or intimidate any students,” he advised.
Sanni also reminded the entire student body to show respect to the prefects, noting that they are representatives of the college management. “They are embodying the values and principles upheld by Landmark College,” she added.
In her address, the Head Girl, Olamide Owoseni, outlined her vision for her tenure. “I aim to foster a school environment characterised by peace and unity. Achieving this requires our collective effort and mutual respect,” Owoseni declared.
Similarly, the Head Boy, Folaranmi Oworu, committed to upholding the core values of the college, which include mutual respect, self-discipline, and courtesy. “These principles will guide my actions and decisions as I serve in this capacity,” Oworu affirmed.
The newly sworn-in prefects pledged to carry out their duties with integrity and dedication, marking the beginning of their journey as leaders within the school community.
The highlight of the event was the administration of the oath of office, led by Oluwabusayo Temitope Awoyemi Esq, a seasoned legal expert, representing Admad Chambers Adebare Mubarak Adegboye & Company.
