The Lagos State Polytechnic visitation panel set-up by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to unravel the immediate and remote causes of the lingering crises in the Polytechnic has submitted its report to the State Government.
The report was submitted on Thursday June 25, 2020, through the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab.
Receiving the report from the Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Wahab thanked the members for the timely submission, assuring them of the government’s commitment to the implementation of recommendations of the investigating team.
He said, “The Government was worried about the crisis at the Institution and this report will help us find out the underlying causes of the crises, how to resolve them and prevent any future occurrence of similar problems”.
While presenting the report, the Chairman of the Panel, Barr. Adelowo Afolayan, appreciated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on behalf of other members of the Committee, for the opportunity given to them to work freely in finding solutions to the age-long crisis in the school without interference.
Recall the Visitation Panel was constituted in October 2019 by the State Government in accordance with the extant law of the Lagos State Polytechnic 2012, Section C111 (subsection 1-5).
