Lagos State University (LASU) has secured the prestigious 5th position in a recent survey assessing the employability of graduates among Nigerian universities.
The rankings, unveiled by Stutern—a renowned skills development and job marketplace—reveal LASU impressive track record with 62.50% of its graduates deemed employable, positioning it as a standout among state institutions.
Established in 1983, LASU, under the stewardship of Prof Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, operates across three major campuses in Ojo, Ikeja, and Epe.
This recent recognition adds to LASU growing list of accolades, having previously been crowned the top state university and clinching the 9th spot overall in Nigeria by the esteemed AD Scientific Index rankings of 2023.
LASU reputation has been further burnished by its distinction as the best university in West Africa for both 2022 and 2023, according to the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking.
This commendation, coupled with its position as the 3rd most sought-after university by JAMB examination applicants in 2023, underscores its status as a beacon of academic excellence and employability within the region.
The survey results from Stutern highlight LASU ongoing commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically proficient but also well-equipped for the demands of the job market.
