Teach For Nigeria has announced the appointment of Molade Adeniyi as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Molade succeeds Ayodele Olajiga, who stepped in as interim CEO in June 2024 after Folawe Omikunle.
Molade is an outstanding leader with a passion for improving the lives of children and youth across West Africa. Prior to joining Teach For Nigeria, she has served excellently in many capacities. She led West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE) as its CEO for nearly six years, focusing on developing young people’s skills and providing them with greater opportunities. Under her leadership, WAVE experienced significant growth and launched several impactful initiatives.
She is a registered pharmacist in both Nigeria and the UK. Molade also holds a Senior Management Program certificate from Lagos Business School, alongside a postgraduate diploma in Strategic Management and Marketing from King’s College, University of London. Her professional background includes but not limited to business development, strategic and operational management, fundraising, and ensuring financial sustainability.
Molade’s leadership has earned her recognition, including being named a Perennial Leadership Fellow in 2021 and a West Africa Acumen Fellow the same year. She is also an active member of Women in Management, Business, and Public Sector (WIMBIZ), where she contributes to various committees and mentors young women.
